 Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex is the finest anime TV series you're not watching right now. Thank goodness the DVDs start coming out a month before my birthday.
Shockingly, the animation is almost as impressive as the movie's animation was, which is damned surprising when you consider the usual difference between TV and movie animation. The same attention to detail to light, reflection, and camera angle comes through, and it's like a revelation as to what a TV series can be. The stories are well plotted, the action sequence astounding, and the dorky details all feel "just right." Run, do not walk, to experience this series. In fact, what the heck am I doing taking time to write this blog entry? I'm only on episode 10!! 8:20:56 PM ()
